To purchase a puppy from Abney Catahoulas, prospective owners pay a $100.00 non-refundable deposit. This deposit ensures us that you are serious about getting a puppy, and it enables us to
determine how many dogs are to be bred. No breeding will take place unless we have a minimum of six (6)depositors.
Clients are added to our waiting list in the order in which their deposit is received. Clients will have the opportunity to choose their puppies in this order.
Our puppies are priced starting at $400. All Pricing is determined by bloodline, titles, and/or accomplishments of the dogs being bred. (See Shipping Information below)
When the puppies are four (4) weeks of age, we will provide a picture of the litter via e-mail, along with a short description of each pup, and the selection order.
You are asked to choose two or more pups in the order of desirability in case one of them is chosen ahead of you. If a pup is passed on by a depositor, it will then be moved to the next in line until all pups have been chosen.
If you cannot get the puppy you want, or if you don't see a puppy that you like in the current litter, you may roll your deposit to the next litter. This generally results in your moving higher on the Waiting List. Any pup that is not chosen from a litter will be made available to the public and/or offered to a Search and Rescue or Law Enforcement Agency, and no breeding will take place until all pups have been placed.
All puppies will be wormed a minimum of three (3) times, and receive its first vaccination prior to leaving the kennel. No puppy may leave the kennel prior to six (6) weeks of age, or be shipped prior to eight (8) weeks of age.
Each puppy will be delivered with its registration papers, health record, one pound of food that is currently being fed, and a gift from Abney Catahoulas. Shipped puppies will also be accompanied by a Veterinarian Certificate of Health.
Please view our Guarantee, noting that we cannot guarantee Coat Color or Eye Color. This is a genetic characteristic that only Mother Nature can determine takes
place.
